Okay, I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I have worked for a few guys that made me look like Einstein.  When you experience this type, you will have no idea how they got promoted, but you will be certain that they have compromising pictures of their boss somewhere.  How else can you explain their corporate success? How to deal with Dumb and Dumber? Don’t let your obvious disdain for her get in the way of you doing your job. Bosses get into positions for all sorts of reasons and it is not your job to let management know that they made a mistake. You will be seen as immature and unprofessional. Instead, try to find other mentors in the organization that can recognize your great work and promote you with senior management.  Remember, this too will pass. WATCH Jane's interview with Fox 31 Denver on Horrible Bosses. As I wind down this Horrible Boss series, here are a few questions to ponder:

  • Who was the best boss you ever had?  What made him/her great?
  • Who was the worst boss you ever had? Why?
  • Is it important to you to be viewed as a good boss?
  • If you are a boss, how would others describe you?

If you find that you have a Horrible Boss that was not described in this series, drop me a line on Facebook at Jane Knows Business, and I’ll get your survival tips out to you immediately!
